BrokerSift

Privacy Policy

This page describes what BrokerSift actually stores, who else it passes through, and what it cannot see. It is written from the software rather than from a template, so where a section says "nothing" it means the code has no field for it.

Reading the site signed out

Reading the site signed out creates no account and no profile. Reviews, comparisons, guides and calculators all render without knowing who is asking.

The one exception is arriving through one of our own ad or campaign links: a brokersift.com/go/… link, or a page address carrying ?src=. Up to three small first-party cookies then remember for 90 days which ad sent you: bs_src (the ad's code and the page you landed on), bs_cid (the ad network's click id, when it passed one) and bs_tg (your Telegram user id, signed, when you came through our Telegram bot). Each such click is counted with the country, the type of device and a salted hash of the IP address, which tells one visitor from ten without identifying anyone. If you go on to open an account, the ad that brought you is recorded on it.

Three preferences are remembered, and all three stay in your own browser's local storage rather than being sent anywhere: the light or dark theme, the filters set on the economic calendar, and a marker for the last trading signal you saw so the same one is not flagged as new twice. Clearing your browser data erases all three and nothing is lost on our side, because nothing was ever there.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, records the ordinary request information any web server sees — IP address, user agent, the URL requested, the time — in its own operational logs. That is infrastructure logging rather than something this site reads or keeps.

What a member account holds

Signing in is handled by Clerk, which holds the credential itself. We never see or store a password. What BrokerSift keeps against your account is the Clerk user id, your email address, the display name and avatar URL Clerk provides, whether the account is active, the country your sign-up came from (read from the IP address, or from your device's time zone when the two disagree), your time zone, and the ad that brought you, if one did.

Clerk sets its own session cookies in your browser to keep you signed in. Those are functional cookies — without them there is no sign-in — and they are described in Clerk's own privacy documentation rather than duplicated here, because they are its cookies and not ours.

If you ask to be tracked under a BrokerSift referral code, the request adds the broker you say the account is with, the trading account login you give, and the email you used at that broker when it is different from your sign-in email. Those three exist for exactly one purpose: matching you against the broker's own report so a rebate can be attributed.

If you join the Telegram signals channel, your Telegram user id, username and the time you joined are recorded against your account. Invite links are single-use and revoked the moment they are used, which is a membership control rather than a tracking one.

What the Expert and the trading journal send

The BrokerSift Expert runs inside your MetaTrader terminal. Once you connect it with the code from your dashboard, it sends only what its features need: requests for signals and status, an hourly heartbeat with the trading account number, broker, balance and platform, the result of each signal it evaluates, and your trades and chart pictures for your private journal.

The journal is built from those trades. Individual trades are kept for twelve months; older months keep only their summary statistics. It is private to your account: no other member sees it unless you share it.

Analytics, and what it cannot see

The site runs Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Both are cookieless: they do not write an identifier to your browser, they do not follow you to any other site, and they produce page-level counts and loading measurements rather than a record of an individual.

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no remarketing tag on any page, and no ad network's script runs on the site.

Some pages embed third-party widgets — an economic calendar, a live session player — and an embedded widget sees the request that loads it. Those are the only components on the site that a third party serves directly into the page.

Outbound links to a broker, exchange or prop firm may carry a BrokerSift referral identifier, which is how the site is funded. Following one tells that platform you arrived from here. What happens after you land on their site is governed by their privacy policy, not this one.

The flow in the other direction is the part most policies leave out, so it is stated plainly. For members tracked under a referral code, brokers send BrokerSift periodic reports listing trading account logins and traded volume for the accounts registered under that code. We receive those figures, match them to the account login you supplied, and use them to work out what is owed. We do not receive your positions, your balance, your identity documents, or anything you filed with the broker to open the account.

If you never ask to be tracked under a referral code, no broker ever reports anything about you to us, whether or not you used one of our links.

Ads we run, and what the networks hear back

BrokerSift buys visits through RichAds and PropellerAds and runs ads on Telegram. When a visit one of those networks sent becomes a sign-up, an Expert download or an approved referral, we tell that network so, server to server, using only the click id it gave us and, for an approved referral, the commission it earned. No name, email, account or trading detail goes with it.

Who else the data passes through

Vercel hosts the site and stores uploaded media. Cloudflare sits in front of it, handling the network traffic and the security check on staff sign-in. A managed PostgreSQL database holds the content and the member records described above. Clerk handles authentication. Telegram handles the signals channel and our bot, for those who use them. RichAds and PropellerAds receive the conversion reports described above, and nothing else.

Nothing is sold or rented. The only thing an advertising network hears from us is the conversion report described above, keyed by that network's own click id. There is no data broker in this list, and there is no arrangement under which a platform being reviewed can buy access to the people reading about it.

How long it is kept, and how to have it removed

Member records are kept for as long as the account exists. Referral figures are kept while they are needed to settle what is owed, because a rebate that cannot be evidenced cannot be paid.

Ask for your account to be deleted and the record is removed, along with the referral details and the Telegram link attached to it; your trade journal and Expert records can be removed on the same request. Write to support@brokersift.com from the address on the account.

The same address is the one for a copy of what is held, a correction to something wrong, or a question about any of the above. Whether a formal statutory right applies to you depends on where you live; the practical answer here is the same either way.

Changes to this page

When the software changes, this page changes with it — that is the point of writing it from the code rather than from a template. A change that widens what is collected will be described here rather than absorbed into a phrase like "and similar technologies".

Frequently asked questions

Does BrokerSift use cookies?

Clerk's sign-in cookies, once you sign in. If you arrive through one of our ad or campaign links, up to three small cookies (bs_src, bs_cid, bs_tg) remember for 90 days which ad sent you. The analytics are cookieless.

Do you sell or share personal data?

No. Nothing is sold or rented, and there is no data broker. The one thing an ad network hears from us is that a visit it sent became a sign-up, a download or an approved referral, identified by that network's own click id. The site is funded by affiliate commission on outbound links.

That you arrived from BrokerSift. Everything after that is between you and them, under their privacy policy. Clicking a link does not create a record on our side.

How do I get my account and data deleted?

Email support@brokersift.com from the address on the account. The member record, the referral details attached to it and the Telegram channel link are removed together.

When you press Start in our Telegram bot (@BrokerSiftExpert_Bot), we keep the details Telegram gives every bot: your Telegram ID, username, name and app language, and which of our ads brought you. If you then open an account through the bot's button, we link the two so we can see which ads bring members. We never ask for your phone number or contacts. Send /stop to the bot at any time and these details are deleted.
