Terms & Risk Disclosure

Using BrokerSift means accepting what follows. Most of it is a description of what this site is rather than a list of prohibitions, because the thing that goes wrong with a broker comparison site is not misuse — it is a reader treating a page as advice.

The risk disclosure, first, because it is the part that matters

Trading leveraged products loses money for most retail traders. Regulators that require brokers to publish the figure generally see it land between 65% and 85% of accounts, and that is the base rate against which any decision made on this site should be read.

Leverage multiplies a loss exactly as it multiplies a gain, and it does so faster than most people expect: a position at 1:100 is wiped out by a 1% move against it. Prop firm challenges add a second way to lose — the fee is paid up front and the drawdown rule ends the account whether or not the market eventually turns. Crypto adds a third, because an exchange is a custodian and a custodian can fail.

Nothing on this site is a prediction. A high score means a platform did well against a published rubric, not that trading through it will be profitable.

This is information, not advice

BrokerSift publishes research. It is not a broker, not an investment adviser and not a portfolio manager. It takes part in brokers' partner (introducing-broker) programmes, which is how it is paid when a member trades with one of them, but it holds no client money, executes no orders and gives no personal recommendation.

Nothing here is tailored to your circumstances, because nothing here knows them. A page cannot know your capital, your tax position, your experience or what a loss would mean to you, and those are the facts that decide whether any platform is appropriate for you. If you want advice, it has to come from somebody regulated to give it in your own country.

Trading signals, where the site carries them, are published on the same basis. A signal is somebody's stated view at a moment in time. Acting on one is your decision and your risk.

The Expert, the signals, the live sessions and the journal

None of them is sold. The money-management Expert can be downloaded by anyone; the signals, the live sessions and the trading journal open to members whose referral with a partner broker has been approved.

The Expert is software that acts in your own MetaTrader terminal, on your settings. Automatic trading stays off until you turn it on. The risk you set, the symbols you allow and the orders it places for you are yours, so try it on a demo account first; like the rest of the site it is provided as it is.

Live sessions are teaching on a real chart in real time. What the presenter trades there is the presenter's decision, made for the presenter's account, not a recommendation for yours.

Accuracy, and the date on every page

Facts are checked when a review is written and every review carries the date they were checked. Spreads, fees, promotions, leverage caps and the countries a platform accepts all change, sometimes without notice — so anything time-sensitive should be confirmed with the platform before it matters to you.

Regulatory details are republished so they can be checked, not so they can be taken on trust. A licence number here is an invitation to look it up on the regulator's own public register, which takes about a minute and is the only authoritative answer.

Errors get corrected rather than argued about. Write to support@brokersift.com with the figure and the source and it will be checked; if it is wrong, the page is fixed.

Some outbound links carry a referral identifier and may earn a commission if you open an account through them. That is the whole business model and it is stated on every page that has one.

It does not buy anything. Scores come from the rubric before any commercial relationship exists, and no platform can pay to change a score, move up a listing, remove a warning or stay out of a comparison it would lose. Where a referral rebate is offered to members, the terms of that arrangement are between you, BrokerSift and the broker, and depend on the broker's own report of your account.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in, and for the accuracy of what you tell us. A referral request in particular is matched against a broker's report by the trading account login you supply: give the wrong one and there is nothing to match.

One account per person. Accounts that submit details belonging to somebody else, that automate requests, or that exist to claim a rebate on trading somebody else did, are closed. So is an account used to abuse anyone in a members' channel.

Access to members' areas is a courtesy rather than a purchase. Nothing on this site is sold to readers, and access can be withdrawn where these terms are broken.

The content itself

Reviews, comparisons, guides, scores and the data tables behind them belong to BrokerSift. Quote a figure, cite it and link back — that is welcome. Republishing a page, or scraping the tables to rebuild the comparison somewhere else, is not.

Platform names, logos and trademarks belong to the platforms. They appear here to identify what is being reviewed and do not imply any endorsement in either direction.

Calculators are provided as working arithmetic, not as a guarantee. Check a result that a decision depends on.

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. It can be offline, a third-party widget can fail, and a page can be out of date between the day it was checked and the day you read it.

To the extent the law allows, BrokerSift is not liable for trading losses, for a decision taken on the basis of a page here, or for anything that happens on a platform you reached through a link. What the law allows varies by country, and nothing here is intended to remove a right you have where you live.

Some platforms covered here do not accept residents of some countries, and some are restricted or unlicensed in others. Whether you may lawfully use one is your responsibility to establish, not this site's to police.

Frequently asked questions

Is BrokerSift giving me financial advice?

No. It publishes research and comparisons. It is not a broker or an adviser, it holds no client money, and nothing on it is tailored to your circumstances — which is what would make it advice.

Are the ratings influenced by affiliate commission?

No. Scores come from the published rubric before any commercial relationship exists, and cannot be bought, raised or removed. Affiliate links are how the site is funded, and they are disclosed rather than hidden.

A fee on a review is out of date. What happens?

Email support@brokersift.com with the figure and where you saw it. Every review carries the date its facts were checked, and a fact that has moved since is corrected rather than defended.

Can I republish a BrokerSift comparison table?

Quote a figure with a citation and a link back, yes. Republishing a page or scraping the tables to rebuild the comparison elsewhere, no.
