  • Long-running PAMM investing ecosystem for hands-off allocation

Cons

  • Regulated only by Comoros' MISA — a weak offshore regime with no compensation scheme if the broker fails

Regulation and safety of funds

Alpari.com is operated by Parlance Trading Ltd, licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) in the Comoros Union under license number T2023236. This is an offshore, low-oversight regime — it does not carry the client protections, capital requirements, or dispute-resolution mechanisms that tier-1 regulators like the FCA, ASIC, or CySEC enforce.

This is not the same company as the original Alpari brand. Alpari UK collapsed in January 2015 after the Swiss National Bank abruptly removed the EUR/CHF floor, wiping out leveraged positions industry-wide. The Alpari group restructured afterward and exited the UK and EU markets entirely, and today's alpari.com operates under a separate offshore entity with no UK or EU license.

Because MISA offers none of the safety net that top-tier regulators require, traders should treat any funds held with Alpari as carrying meaningfully higher counterparty risk than with an FCA- or ASIC-regulated broker, and should size deposits accordingly.

Fees and spreads

Alpari runs four live account types. Micro starts at a $30 minimum with spreads from 1.5 pips and no commission. Standard needs $100 with spreads from 1.2 pips, also commission-free. ECN requires $300 with spreads from 0.8 pips and no separate commission. Pro ECN needs $500, offers spreads from 0.0 pips, and charges a commission that varies by asset class — around $2.50 per lot per side on forex.

Alpari advertises leverage up to 1:3000 on forex and metals, though this is automatically reduced to around 1:200 in the minutes around major economic news releases and ahead of weekend or holiday closures. Leverage is capped lower on other asset classes, including 1:10 on stock CFDs.

Some independent reviews report a monthly inactivity charge after extended periods without trading, though Alpari's own fee page does not spell out a figure and directs account holders to the MyAlpari client area for exact numbers.

Platforms and tools

Alpari offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 across desktop and mobile, plus its own web-based client area. TradingView charting is integrated for market analysis. The account range covers more than 750 instruments spanning forex, metals, commodities, indices, stocks, and cryptocurrencies.

Beyond direct trading, Alpari runs a PAMM (Percentage Allocation Management Module) program where clients allocate part of their capital to a strategy manager rather than trading themselves. Funds reportedly stay in segregated, client-controlled sub-accounts, and profits or losses are split proportionally with full visibility into a manager's track record before investing.

Deposits and withdrawals

Alpari supports cards (Visa, Mastercard), bank wire transfers, cryptocurrency, and a range of region-specific local payment methods. The minimum deposit ranges from $30 to $500 depending on account type, though individual payment providers may set their own minimums.

Alpari describes itself as an 'instant deposit' broker when no extra verification is required, but back-office processing for wires and some methods only runs Monday–Friday 06:00–20:00 and Sunday 09:00–18:00 (GMT+2/+3 with DST). Deposit and withdrawal fees are deducted from the transaction amount itself, with exact figures only visible after logging into the MyAlpari account area — they aren't published on the public site.

Customer support

Support is reachable by phone at +44 2045 771 951 and via a contact form on the website, with Alpari stating a typical response window of 24 hours. A Help Centre covers account, platform, funding, and market questions. The official site does not publish a support email address, confirm live-chat availability, or list which languages support is offered in — traders should confirm these directly before relying on them.

Alpari's Trustpilot profile shows 288 reviews with a heavily split distribution — about 49% one-star against 22% five-star — and Trustpilot itself notes it has removed a number of fake reviews from the listing, so no overall star score is currently shown. Recurring themes in the genuine reviews include delayed or blocked withdrawals, sudden account restrictions after verification, and inconsistent answers from support agents.

Who is it for

Alpari suits traders who already accept offshore-only regulation in exchange for very low entry minimums, high leverage, and a long operating history — particularly those interested in PAMM-style hands-off investing rather than active self-directed trading.

It is a poor fit for traders in the US, UK, EU, Canada, and the other explicitly restricted countries, and for anyone who prioritizes strong regulatory protection or fast, hassle-free withdrawals over low costs and high leverage.

Good to know before you start

Why you have to verify your identity

Why you have to verify your identity

Every regulated broker and exchange must confirm who you are before you can trade or withdraw. Expect to upload a passport or national ID and a proof of address under three months old (utility bill or bank statement). Most platforms approve documents within a few hours; a mismatch between your ID and the name on your payment method is the most common reason for delays.

How funding your account works

How funding your account works

Deposits by card or e-wallet usually land within minutes; bank wires take one to three business days and may carry a fee from your bank. Withdrawals go back to the method you deposited with, which is an anti-money-laundering rule rather than a platform choice. Start with the minimum, confirm a small withdrawal works, then scale up.

What to expect on your first trade

What to expect on your first trade

Open a demo account first if the platform offers one, then place a small live trade on a liquid market such as EUR/USD or BTC/USD. Check the spread, the commission and the swap before you confirm. Set a stop-loss on every position — losing a small amount quickly is the cheapest lesson in trading.

Some reviewers also cite an inactivity fee that is not clearly disclosed on the public fee pages.

Frequently asked questions

Is Alpari regulated?

Yes, but only by the Mwali International Services Authority (MISA) in the Comoros Union, under license T2023236 held by Parlance Trading Ltd. This is an offshore regulator with far lighter oversight than tier-1 bodies like the FCA or ASIC.

Is the current Alpari the same company that collapsed in 2015?

No. Alpari UK collapsed in January 2015 after the Swiss National Bank's EUR/CHF floor removal. The group restructured and exited the UK and EU afterward, and alpari.com today operates under a separate offshore-licensed entity.

What is the minimum deposit at Alpari?

It depends on the account type: $30 for Micro, $100 for Standard, $300 for ECN, and $500 for Pro ECN.

What is the maximum leverage at Alpari?

Up to 1:3000 on forex and metals, though this is automatically reduced to around 1:200 around major news releases and before weekend or holiday closures. Other asset classes have lower caps, such as 1:10 on stock CFDs.

Can I use Alpari if I live in the US, UK, or EU?

No. Alpari does not accept residents of the USA, UK, EU, Canada, Japan, North Korea, Myanmar, India, Azerbaijan, Syria, Sudan, or Cuba.

Does Alpari offer copy trading?

Alpari's main hands-off product is PAMM investing, where you allocate funds to a strategy manager rather than copy individual trades. A dedicated copy-trading feature is not advertised on the current platform.

What trading platforms does Alpari support?

MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 on desktop and mobile, along with a web-based client area and integrated TradingView charts.
